Matt Hughes....child of God, husband, father of twins, and a golf course superintendent. I was raised in the Texas Hill Country, always enjoying the outdoors...hunting, fishing and competion trap and skeet shooting. My turfgrass experiences started at a very young age when I mowed lawns in the summer. I have a passion for being outdoors and enjoying God's land...that is why I became a Golf Course Superintendent. My wife and I have shared a long journey together in our 14 years of marriage. My career as a golf course superintendent has taken us to many places....Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico. I have always dreamed of being a father and after a long struggle with infertility, my wife and I were blessed with twins. They bring me so much joy and love to our lives. I look forward to giving them the same opporunities and experiences as I had as a child! I have a passion for this industry and will be in it all my life! Being a Golf Course Superintendent is a lifestyle, not just a job or a career. A lifestyle the whole family adapts to....including my wife and twins.

| Dr. Hennen Cummings - Tarleton State University - Stephenville, Tx
Dr. Hennen Cummings is the Interim Department Head, Associate Professor, and Director of Golf Course Management at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX. Dr. Cummings earned a BS in Public Health from UNC-Chapel Hill while studying Environmental Science. He worked for a groundwater-consulting firm writing risk assessments for five years. He earned a BS in Agronomy and a MS and Ph.D. in Crop Science while studying Weed Management in Turfgrasses at North Carolina State University. During summers, Dr. Cummings is on the mower and behind the sprayer because he sends his students into the industry, so they can gain experience and learn from you.

| Daysha Cheyne - West Texas Golf Course Superintendents Association, Inc.
Daysha has been the executive director for the West Texas Golf Course Superintendents Association since March of 2010. Her dad is a golf course superintendent so she grew up on the golf course. She played college golf at the University of North Texas. She graduated with a BBA in Marketing. After moving to Andrews in 2004 she received her teaching certificate and taught school for four years. Now she works from home where she enjoys her two daughters, Landry 3 and Raylee 4 months. |
